On the ice surrounded by ice racing snowmobiles, cars, motorcycles and ATV's, we had an awesome day of training. Sunny and over 35 degrees out on giant Mille Lacs Lake, all developed the skills necessary to do their business. Great job everyone!

I got an early start on a trip through dense fog, but once I got there, we had a fabulous training. Very helpful crew even cut the hole for me! Great leadership and many suits made for a smooth and efficient rotation. Everyone did awesome! Grilled on site...best hamburgers ever!

A new type of challenge, these Mining Explorers work in small groups in remote areas throughout the winter and have experienced some close calls. Fear not, they now have the knowledge and skills to perform safely!
Vulcan Challenge 2010 - St. Paul Winter Carnival
Given the mission of baptizing the new Vulcan Krewe in water, we managed to scare the daylights out of them. By the time they left the MTU, they believed they were going to swim across the Mississippi with a torch!! All in good fun, these folks had a great time...nice dresses boys!

Explorer Extreme Terrain Rescue Camp - Wm Obrien State Park
Working on all skills in rope, slope, high level, and water rescue, these young men spent evenings studying and days learning and demonstrating their skills. Two and a half completely full days of this left these youth, the families that participated, our dogs, and us totally spent. Hilarious and memorable!
